| Norwalk takes a pro-active approach to building and maintaining the city's infrastructure. Planning ahead for growth and development, Norwalk is well positioned to serve the current and future needs of area businesses, industries and citizens.
Water Resources
For drinking water, the City relies primarily on a reservoir system that retains 699 million gallons of water at any given time, to treat and distribute to the City’s residents. This reservoir is supplemented by Northern Ohio Rural Water and by pumping water from Norwalk Creek for an essentially infinite supply of water regardless of weather conditions. The city has a balanced water pressure system to meet all fire code standards (ISO rating of 4) and may reduce the investment for companies utilizing it.
